Jerry Donovan Memorial Fishing Derby for Kids! Club volunteers needed!



PLEASE NOTE***The canal will be closed to boat traffic due to safety reasons during this event. Please be respectful of this decision.


Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. It takes a lot of work to pull this event off and Rene & Jeff can always use lots of volunteers & donations for this busy week end. Anything from putting up tents on Friday, grill cooks on Saturday, to clean up on Sunday.

Donations of concession items....cases of water or pop, hot dogs, hamburgers, buns even cash to help cover the cost of fish in the pond or other expenses.

Sunday, May 20 - 8:00am to 10:00 Special Needs Families then 10:00am to 2:00pm - All Families

Hosted by LCWCC at 6060 East M-36 on the Huron River.

Admission
Under 12 years $2.00
12 to 17 years $3.00
Family - 4 or more $7.00

Prizes
$25.00 for each tagged fish
Prize for the biggest and the smallest trout caught.
Door prizes ALL DAY!

From June 1st through the 29th we will be hosting an E-Bay auction.

You ask HOW can you help???

We need donated items for auction. Collectibles, antiques, sports memorabilia, or if you are crafty maybe an item that you make or if you own a business maybe a gift certificate or service?? Toys (in good shape). Think outside the box. And speaking of boxes, please remember we do need to ship items. So nothing too large or too heavy.

Please also include a detailed description of the item and an approx, value. That will help us out when listing.

You can also help by letting everyone know about the auction!

The auction will close on June 29th at which time all items will be shipped. There will also be an option for local shoppers to pick their items up. Save on Shipping! (:

Sunday 3-D Shoots Help Needed

Sign up sheet is now on board for help with the summer Sunday 3 d shoots. Need range officers to watch the range on Sundays. Please sign up. Shoots start June 3rd and go on all summer.

MUCC District 7 Meeting

Our club will host the next MUCC District 7 meeting. Tuesday, May 8 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

Boater Safety Class has been Cancelled

When the class gets rescheduled, it will be posted on our website.

Beginner's Archery

Beginner's Archery - remember it's always the last Saturday of the month (following the fish fry) from 9:00am to noon. All ages & skill levels welcome. Donations accepted.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Our Club will host another Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, May 24th from 10:30-3:45.

Please donate if you are able. Thank you

Dexter Fund Raiser

Was successful even though the turn out was low. We raised over $1,500 for our efforts to plant trees in the community.

River Cleanup

Saturday, April 14 was a success. Despite the cold weather, we had approximately 40 people show up to help in the effort. Many trees were removed so boaters can safely travel north from Strawberry Lake down the Huron River. Thanks to Captain Scott Strain for his remarkable efforts organizing the event and to club members and Hamburg Twp. community members for your help.

Band Night Thanks!

Thank you to Scott, Briscoe, Pat & Kim F for all your help on Band Night! I appreciate all your help. Thanks to the Members who came. Hope you enjoyed the band!

The next band night is May 12, 8:00pm to Midnight. Bring your dancing shoes!

MUCC Youth Camp Clean-Up

BIG HUGE THANKS to all the members that showed up at Cedar Lake for the kid’s camp clean up day! The day turned out better than expected and you guys are so appreciated! I hear you had a great lunch too!
